PREREQUISITE: A home computer running Adobe Photoshop Elements 6/7.

Basic computer and mouse skills and familiarity with dialog boxes and file management using Windows Explorer to find and open files are essential!

Students should be prepared to invest some time in practicing class material.

DESCRIPTION: This 8 week workshop course is an introduction to the Adobe Photoshop Elements 6/7 software.

You will learn techniques for organizing, managing and searching your photo files.

Class exercises show you how to make quick photo adjustments to color and lighting, as well as removing red eye and cropping photos using the Elements Quick Fix workspace.

We also explore various methods of sharing your photo files – printing at home or local drug store, loading to a Web site, sending via e-mail and making fancy slide shows with musical background.

While we do simple editing like color changes, improving group shots and panorama creation, we do not explore the more advanced features found in the Elements Full Editor like the advanced brush and layering functions.
